In Memory of Terry Desmond
Consistent with Terry's dedication to the Rotary motto of “Service above self” as well as his passion for education, Terry’s family has chosen to partner with Hope’s In to further his legacy of changing the world.
Terry’s family has been an integral part of Hope’s In. They have volunteered to build homes, piloted new initiatives, serve on the Board of Directors and even presented at Terry’s Rotary Club. Terry greatly enjoyed hearing his family share about their endeavors with Hope’s In, especially his granddaughters’ stories.
Hope’s In’s mission is to empower families in Guatemala and help develop the next generation of humanitarian leaders. One program the Desmond family has made extraordinary impact on is Fortaleza. This program empowers young women and teenage mothers in Guatemala City with mentorship, access to healthcare, education and employment coaching. All the donations given to honor Terry will be directed towards Fortaleza as these resources were all causes Terry championed during his life.
