HIA Young Adults
The Hope’s In Academy Young Adults is a spinoff program of the Hope’s In Academy which is a service-learning opportunity for Freshmen at Barrington High School. The goal of the program is to give students the skills and confidence to change the world. Since the program launched two years ago, over 50 BHS students have completed it.
Over the summer we piloted the Hope’s In Academy Jr. for middle school students. It was a virtual program and a huge success! Now, we are excited to share that we are launching a Spring Session of the Young Adult version. This program will meet weekly for six weeks. We will meet in the late afternoon at the Campus Life Center. The first session would be focused on learning about social impact and the second would be a more hands-on service project for participants to engage with.
We plan to cap the program at 15 participants. There is a suggested donation for the program of $50. You can also choose for your family or company to become a Program Sponsor with a suggested donation of $100+ which would help offer the opportunity more broadly to young adults in the Barrington Area and beyond to join.
The Spring Session dates and times are the following:
April 6th from 3:30pm-5:30pm
April 13th from 3:30pm-5:30pm
