HOPE’S IN @ BASECAMP FITNESS

We’re setting big goals for global health!
HOPE’S IN is partnering up with Basecamp Fitness for a 45 minute fitness class fundraiser in Chicago. The event will take place on Saturday, February 26 at 11:30 at Basecamp Fitness’ new location in the West Loop. The class will be a full body workout including weight training and airdyne bikes. Basecamp will be donating to HOPE’S IN for every mile biked during their classes on this day. All fitness levels are welcomed to attend. In accordance to the city of Chicago’s health mandates, masks and proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required for in-person participation. All proceeds will be donated to HOPE’S IN’s medical initiatives in Guatemala.
About HOPE’S IN
HOPE’S IN NFP’s mission is to empower families living in Guatemala City and develop the next generation of humanitarian leaders. We empower Guatemalan families by defending their rights to shelter, education and healthcare. This is done by building homes, investing in local tutoring programs, and financially supporting and volunteering at local health clinics. More specifically we seek to empower populations within Guatemala that are most vulnerable to repeating the cycle of poverty in their family. Therefore we focus on serving marginalized communities, teen mothers, and persons with disabilities.
The development of humanitarian leaders is done through both international service trip opportunities and local volunteer programs such as our HOPE’S INternship program and Hope’s In Academy (HIA). The HIA is a service learning and leadership development program at Barrington High School sponsored by the Barrington Area Community Foundation. These volunteer opportunities give students and adults a unique perspective of the world that allows them to enhance their skills as a leader in a global narrative.
