"On my 16th birthday we'd like to bring HOPE to the children of the Guatemala City dump communities."
This December 20th, I am turning 16 years old. I’ve decided that rather than receiving birthday gifts this year, I’d like to try and empower families living in poverty.
This past year, I spent part of my summer vacation bringing hope to the “treasures” of the garbage dump communities in Guatemala City. Locals call them, scavengers. I like to call them Treasures.
HOPE’S IN is working on raising enough funds to sponsor a first and second grade class at Potters House Association, our local partner. The total amount needed to sponsor the class is approximately $10,000.
My Birthday Hope goal is to raise $150.00 or more to help underwrite part of this program.
Thank you for supporting not only HOPE’S IN’s efforts to do this, but also a group of bright, kind, and amazing first and second graders at Potters House Association in Guatemala. Getting to see and know these kids and watch how incredibly grateful and appreciative they are when I was on my trip this past summer was one of the best experiences in my entire life. I’m so thankful for your donation.
Please help me celebrate my 16th birthday by bringing hope to the treasures of the Guatemala City dump communities.
Thank you,
Isabelle Greenberg
