This year, I am a member of the HOPE’S INterns program. Through the program, I am learning about social advocacy and developing my leadership skills to change the world! One of our main projects is organizing an annual fashion show fundraiser called Hope’s in Style. This is an important event that brings together our community and rallies for hope!
I hope to raise money for the 501(c)(3) organization, HOPE’S IN, as I believe that they positively change the lives of the people living in Guatemala and in the Chicagoland Area. HOPE’S IN has been working to empower families in Guatemala and develop the next generation of humanitarian leaders for the past 8 years. Their programs focus on community development projects like building homes, special education, empowering teen mothers, medical care, and raising up the next generation of humanitarian leaders.
My fundraising goal is to raise $150 to help support the Hope’s In Academy. The Hope’s In Academy is a humanitarian leadership development program run in School District 220 of Illinois and the Barrington Community.
The program is instructed by our Executive Director, Courtney McGovern. The mission of the program is to empower students with the skills and confidence to make an impact.
Throughout the program students learn about nonprofit organization management, social advocacy, and even complete a service project as a team.
I want to help Hope’s In Academy because I believe high school students and young adults can truly make a difference in the world. It is important to educate students that they help people and make a change. First, I want to start with my local high school and my peers in my community. If more people learn about how they can make a social impact and gain skills to make a difference, the more help will be in action! Helping more and more people throughout the world! Will you help me to achieve my goal to make an impact this April?
Thank you for giving the gift the hope!
