As you all know, I was adopted from an orphanage in Guatemala when I was 19 months old. I am now 21 years old, and I have been very blessed to have been raised by an amazing family here in the USA. Throughout my life, I have had the privilege of traveling to Guatemala to stay connected to my culture and my first home. While I do travel to visit and have fun, I do like to help the people in my first home. While In high school, I was fortunate to go on two mission trips with my family to Guatemala to help build houses in the garbage dump.
This year I am once again traveling to another part of the country called Chiquimula to build a home for a family in need. Many people who live in Chiquimula live in extreme poverty. I am traveling with my best friend Amanda to do this work. We will work alongside a family as we build their safe and dignified forever home. As a volunteer with
HOPE’S IN I am committed to raising funds to offset the cost of building the home (which is $7,500 for each home) plus our volunteer fees. I am asking my friends and family to help me reach my goal of raising $3,000. Any amount will be very appreciated.
Thank you!
