  It’s a busy weekend for Barrington High School senior, Courtney Quigley!  Not only is she this year’s BHS Homecoming Queen, the organization she founded, Hope’s in Style, is hosting a special event in Barrington tomorrow to introduce guests to the leaders of Potter’s House International who are in town from Guatemala. Potter’s House is the organization Courtney has spent the past few summers helping in their mission to assist and find homes for families and children living in Guatemala City’s garbage dump. Barrington Area Teens Fundraise for Family in Guatemala: “Hope’s In Style” Fashion Show on February 24

  Fashion and compassion will work hand-in-hand on February 24, 1- 4 p.m., when Barrington High School students present a charity fashion show called “Hope’s In Style” at the Garlands Center for The Performing Arts, 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington, Ill. All proceeds from the event will go to Potter’s House Association to build a house for 8-year-old Monica Morales and her seven family members who are currently living in squalor conditions at the Guatemala City garbage dump in Guatemala. Hope’s in Style hosted Potter’s House leadership from Guatemala

Hope’s in Style, the local organization that supports the Potter’s House effort in Guatemala, hosted an event last Sunday at the Garland’s. Potter’s House co-founder Gladys Guitz and President Edgar Guitz were there to present the organization to those who are unaware of what they do and whom they serve. They also took part in thanking the local efforts of volunteers from this area. For information regarding Potter’s House go to Pottershouse.org.
