Hope’s in Style, the local organization that supports the Potter’s House effort in Guatemala, hosted an event last Sunday at the Garland’s. Potter’s House co-founder Gladys Guitz and President Edgar Guitz were there to present the organization to those who are unaware of what they do and whom they serve. Teens that were on the trip last summer were part of a panel discussing their experiences and how the trip changed the way they look at themselves and life.

Over 100 people attended the reception and presentation. New volunteers stepped up to help prepare for the next trip to help the Guatemalan people that depend on the garbage dump for their survival. Enthusiasm from the teens and the families that made the trip last summer was contagious!
