Hope’s In Style to Celebrate “A Decade of Hope” with 10th Annual Student Fashion Show Fundraiser

“One of our nonprofits on the Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (BAVC) platform is celebrating a milestone this year! Hope’s In is hosting the 10th annual Hope’s In Style student-run fashion show fundraiser featuring local models & styles to build homes for families living in Guatemala City’s garbage dump communities. Tickets are available for you to attend the fashion show from 1-3pm this Sunday, April 24th at Avante Banquets in Fox River Grove.

Ten years ago Hope’s In Style was planned as a single event to raise funds for one home at the Potter’s House in Guatemala. Since its initial year, the organization has grown into an official 501(c)3 organization. The first show was held at the Garlands and raised about $15,000. This year, it will be held at Avante Banquets in Fox River Grove and co-founders, Courtney McGovern & Ashley Quigleys’ goal is to raise $75,000.
